BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Green river down to the junction, and then up? A Yes sir. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q After the boat was launched, did you make a trip on that boat? A Yes sir. Q Did you carry any passengers or freight? A Not at that time, no. Q Did you at any other time? A No sir. Q How large a crew did you have? A We may have had as many as ten; I am not right certain. Every man that went with us on that trip was part of the crew. Q Did you do part of the work on that boat yourself? A I sure did, yes sir. Q What was your particular assignment? A I think I was really cabin boy. Any place and every place I was required. Q Just tell me about that trip as you proceeded down the Green river. A We started out with perhaps as many as ten men aboard.
