Show Hyde- D 613 and drilled the second little well; it gushed. Q Do you know how that material was taken in, the casing and the tools? A That was hauled in; my nephew hauled a great deal of them in, was helping them on the rig when it was drilled to the finish. Q How was it carried in? A Wagon. Q Do you know what kind of power they used to operate the boilers in connection with this drilling? A Yes. Q What kind did they use? A Steam. Q What fuel? A They burned the driftwood that came down the San Juan river, consisting of cottonwood; cedar, pinon logs; as that played out, they went back into the foothills and hauled the dry pinons and cedar into the foot of the mesa, Big Point. Q How long did that well over there continue to flow? A It flowed, about, I should say, three or four minutes,; blowed a gas head off. Q Did it continue to produce oil? A It never was put on pump; you can go there now and take out about ten gallons on top of the water; I have several times since, while we were working there.
