A Comparatively quiet water; quiet water, I would call it. Q Were there any sandbars in it? A Yes, we found sandbars, islands in the middle of the river, channels on both sides, one of them would be deep, possibly one would be shallow; they would change. Q Have any difficulty with the sandbars? A We would ground frequently, as we would back off as best we could; had an extra oar, and we would push the boat, try to get back in the channel. Q Did you spend a night at Greenriver, Utah? A We spent the night at the dam site. Q Above Greenriver? A Yes sir, with the x man who had charge, just below the dam site on the east bank. Q Between Green River, Wyoming, and Greenriver, Utah, did you meet any boats in that stretch of country? A Ranchers in different sections, in Brown's Park, had boats tied up to the shore.
