Show Author: Marilyn Harper at NP-WASO-NRHE Date: 8/26/99 8:19 AM Priority: Normal TO: cjensen@history.state.ut.us at NP--INTERNET Subject: Grafton nomination Cory-The nomination form shows ownership as private, public--Iocal, and public--federal. We couldn't figure out what was federally owned, but if there really was something, we have to have some evidence that whatever the responsible federal agency was was notified and given an opportunity to comment. They don't have to sign off, or anything (assuming that they only own a little bit of a large district), but we do need a copy of the letter notifying them to show that they had the chance to comment if they wanted to. It's like what you have to do when a federally-owned post office is in the middle of a downtown district. What federal agency owns what here? Were they notified? The rest of the nomination looks fine . I would like to sign off on it today, but need to straighten out this notification business first. I may call and leave a message on your voice mail too.
