Listing in the National Register does not place limitations on the property by the federal or state government. Public visitation rights are not required of owners. The govennnent will not attach restrictive covenants to the property or seek to acquire them. One of your responsibilities as a Certified Local Government (CLG) is to review pending National Register nominations of properties within your community.
