Show their family's historic home and barn and have replaced the porch and railing on the home among other improvements. Additional repair was done to the fence surrounding the home as well. With a new wood shingled roof, that was put on in 2002, that greatly improves the building's condition. Bob and Linda Attiyeh are preserving the historic Wood home, log barn, and log cabin along with other outbuildings, they installed new historically accurate window frames and sashes on the Log Cabin and added a new porch railing on the Wood Home. Russell Bezette (Arid Land Consultants) performed the work. Mike Anderson (Rockville) did the porch railing work on both the Wood and Ballard homes. Funding for the Russell Home Project: What would we do without those who are so generous with their time and financial support? Special thanks to the Town of Rockville who partners with us on funding proposals that makes them possible. This year the Utah Division of State History awarded the Town of Rockville a Certified Local Government Grant that was used for architectural construction drawings for the Russell Home as well as funds to repair the roof. Additional funds from the Simmons Family Foundation, Katherine W. Ezekiel R. Dumke Jr. Foundation, the Gordon Wood family, Jim and Carol Macfarlane, William and Iona Green, Naomi Weyher, James Grey Larkin, and many other individual donors - thank you! Looking for volunteer labor and materials as well as Auction items: Once we decide on the parking area design at the cemetery, we will need help installing cedar posts, seeding, and planting native plants. Throughout the winter, we could use volunteers to help keep newly planted vegetation watered . If you have a tractor with an auger that is available for a morning, please give us a call. We could also use some donated cedar posts (8-10) for the parking area delineation as well as volunteers for other projects. If you'd like to lend a hand, make a donation, or donate an auction item for future fundraising, please call or write Jane Whalen (435-635-2133) janew@redrock.net or Jack Burns (435-772-3289) jburns3289@yahoo.com.
