Within three years time she lost her husband and two children, her daughter, Ellen, passed away on December 24, 1891, son, John Jr., on February 5, 1892 and her husband, John, on May 12, 1894. Abigail passed away on November 19, 1904 in Salt Lake City at the age of seventy-eight. Hunter, and did house work for her board and room and some spending money. Two years later she married Bishop John Low Butler of Spanish Fork as his eighth wife. They had two children [sabella and John, who was born three months after his father died. Four years later, Henrietta married John Powell on June 18, 1864 becoming his second wife. They were the parents of seven children. John tried his hand at farming but the crops fail ed. The dam at Deseret went out and washed away all the crops . John moved his family to Meadow. The next spring, Henrietta hired someone to move her to Fillmore where John was living with his first wife. She found work washing clothes. Henrietta wove cloth, carded wool, and knitted socks for her children. She taught her family to read. She made a point of learning a few lines of poetry everyday to improve her mind. In September, 1864, John and Henrietta moved to St. George to do ordinance work in the temple. John Powell passed away on June 3, 1902. Henrietta married Allen Russell on October 24, 1906. They lived in Manti, spending ten years working in the Manti Temple. Allen Russell passed away on July I I, 1919, again, Henrietta found herself a widow. She was an example of spiritual integrety. Her life's efforts were given to raising her family and helping the needy. Henrietta passed away on August 12, 1924 in Fillmore, Utah at age ninety-three. She was the fourth of nine children. She saved her money for passage on the ship "Emarld Green," for America in 1855, arriving in St Louis, Misouri. Henrietta heard that the Banks Company was taking handcarts as well as wagons.
