Show IN MEMORY Clare Davis came late in her career to the League_ Few of us knew her as a leader in the Wasatch Mountain Club, as the first administrator in the Utah State Job Service_ It was only recently ve learned that she had single-handedly rewritten the National Creed r or the Association of American Business Women because the original had not been fair to women_ We did know her as a rriend whose rine mind ve respected and whose quiet persistence in the face of overwhelming physical problems, we admired_ She loved to travel and she loved life_ She will be missed in Unit 4_ -Dorothy Croft Mayor Establishes Volunteer Information Counter In an effort to make city government more accessible to the public, Salt Lake City Mayor Palmer DePaulis has established a Volunteer Information Counter on the first floor of the new Sal t Lake City Hall, 324 So. State St. In November 1986, the One-Stop Service Counter went into effect. The "On t? Stop" counter is staffed by City employees who assist citizens on everything from issuing building permits to accepting payment for parking tickets. The Volunteer Information Counter is staffed entirely by volunteers. The purpos{~ of the counter is to provide information regarding scheduled times for pub 1ic hearings and neighborhood meetings, for example,and to explain to citizens where to find everything from City Counci 1 Chambers to the Mayor's Office.
