Show establishes some allocation of uses on Forest lands. In the Salt Lake County Master Plan, full consideration will be given to how Canyon resources and types of uses will be addressed. 4. Major Individual Projects and Events. Salt Lake City's Watershed Management Plan has purposefully looked only in a general manner at the impact of specific proposals for events and projects in the Canyons. Therefore, major issues like the Olympics and -the Interconnect system, have not been specifically addressed in the watershed . plan in order to focus on more general long-term conditions of the watersheds, regardless of specific project developments. These projects and events will be the subject of individual analysis by the City as they arise. Salt Lake County will include an analysis of major individual projects and events in its Canyons Master Plan. 5. Other Land-Use Factors Affe~ting Development Suitability. Watershed-related factors, including proximity to streams, soils, slope, and ownership (public or private) have been reviewed and mapped as part of the Salt Lake City Watershed Management Plan. Other factors for development suitability, including geologic hazards, avalanches, critical wildlife habitat, and visual impacts, will be added in the County Canyons Master Planning effort. Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County intend to continue to work closely in the development of their respective plans to make them cooperative and compatible efforts. The City's Watershed Management Plan, will likely serve as a major component of the County's Canyon Master Plan. 21 |
