Show Rose (1/17/83 ) page 28 Mr. K Mr. R Mr. K hard-heads, you know, in a bunch that think they can fight, and maybe they can take, I'm talking terms of relatives not great significance, they can take 1,000 punches, and another guy might ..... ( only be able to take 100 punches before he's been punched out, /he' uunched out, but he's been punched out. In that time, he's soft, he's easier to knock over from that time. Now the guy that can take 100 punches, it might take him 100 fights for him to absorb his 100 punches because he's that good, he's avoiding being hit. On the other hand, you see a bunch of bums up there and all they can do is stand toe to toe and they get their 1000 punches. I'm talking about the ones with the hard heads who presumably have that, and so they get their 1000 punches 1n 5 fights and then on the 6th fight you can knock them over with a toothpick. See, this is what I'm trying to say, that's the point primarily that I was trying to make. Like that fellow that got killed here, I don't know if you saw that fight. The Japanese guy? Yeah. Now, you take him, and I'll never be convinced that he wasn · dying about the 11th round, because if you remember he'd -.throw a punch and then be staggering all over that ring, trying to re-gain his balance. Well, you may not remember because you weren't looking for that kind of thing, but to say that he got knocked out with that last punch, that's ridiculous, that guy was going 3 roundsearlier. But he kept up the pace, and I could well under-stand if I was a referee I would have overlooked it, too, beoause a lot of that is hindsight. Right, you can't tell what's happening, or at least what it means. |
