Of course, nobody was cheering for them, but s omehow or another the Irish and the Jews seemed to have a better respect for each other as individuals than the others. Which were the worse? Which group did the Jews get along worse? The group that we got along with the leastl The group that we didn't get along with period were the Polocks. I suppose now it's a big difference, because when I go back I don't hear anything lik that anymore, but, God, in our day it was something. What kinds of stuff do you remember between the Jews that was different, that made it more intense? Gee, it's hard to say, I would say perhaps a rep1t1tion of the incidents, you know, the fights and the mob fights. It was never one on one. You were always in groups? Yeah, it was always in groups. That's what I seem to remember most about the Polocks. How did they fight, with their fists or clubs or ••• It would depend on what you got to. I mean, it would depend •• some times it was all fists, and then we'd be looking for boards ••• ! don't remember any shootings or anything like that, there might have been, but not anything I ever -got involved with. I know once in a while somebody would get laid out, but it wasn't anything •• well, everybody would get laid out. If anybody went to a hospital I'm sure it wasn't , and that's all I can tell you.
