After you got 1n the door you had another little anteroom, you had to walk up another ~ or ? steps, big wide staircase. On each side of the staircase there were plaster urns, plaster paris, I don't know if they were ever any good anyway, and I had just opened the door at the bottom when one of these urns comes crashing down and the pieces came rolling down the steps. The guys had got to chasing around the urn and that's when the thing flopped over. They dropped it and they ran like hell, they were only two paces from the hall. I was on this flight of stairs away from the hall and I was further away from the street, and guess who got caught with this broken urn? I wasl And I got expelled for that. It only lasted for 3 days, but the erpelsion was because if I didn't do it, I wasn't telling who did. They were going to hang you no matter what. That's the kind of thing that happened to me. I was in school once with dirty fingernails, and they were - I got to recognize that fact.~sa~ We had an arithmetic teacher who used to go and examine our hands and examine our ears and examine our necks, and about half the time I had a dirty neck, and certainly dirty ears, andshe examined our hands and here I had these dirty nails and I got them stuck up like that and she takes an edge of a ruler and she whacks me across that hand, oh Lord, and I turned in my seat and I put a left hook in her belly and dropped her on the floor.
