The nearest I over come to getting on a sandbar was coming down with Mr. Richardson and Mr. LaRue, but we hardly stopped, just touched the sandbar and went right on. I never got stuck on a sandbar. Q Do you know of any fact or condition on the Green or Colorado river in those sections with which you are familiar, where in operating boats of the character that you have operated and seen operated on the river, a man familiar with the river and keeping a reasonable look- out need encounter obstructions or delays? A No, I wouldn't say that a man, if he had any judgment of the river at all, but what he could navigate it all right. MR. BLACKMAR: Ask that answer be stricken out as not responsive to the question.
