A I believe we brought sixteen barrels one trip. Q About how much does one of those barrels weight A About four hundred to four hundred to four hundred and fifty. Q Four hundred or four hundred and fifty pounds? A Somewheres along in there; that is what we figured it. Q When drilling operations were in progress was there a considerable amount of freight to be brought back up in the way of bent tools and various things? A At times there is, if they get into bad ground it spoils lots of their tools and they have to take them out, then. Q During a portion of these seven months you had high water, did you? A Yes sir. Q What is your best recollection of the period of this high stage of water? A It starts, the river commences to raise in March, from the middle to the later part of March, and holds up until in June, that is, we figure about the 20th of May, I think, |
