Show 7239 Blake- D 5219 Q Without going into any detail, did you take any other shorter trips during the time between the construction of your first boat and the end of the year 1909? A picnic parties up the river from Greenriver for a few miles, going recall just the number, but there were several. Q Take any other shorter trips down the river than those you specifically mentioned? A Not in my boats, I don't remember of any others. Q Your trip that you described to Moab following the accident to your boat, was that for compensation? A Yes. Q In 1910 I believe you started work with the pumping plants there, did you not? A Yes sir. Q And had no further personal experience on the river? A No, not to amount to anything; I made one trip in 1914 with the Wimmer boat to the junction. Q But with your own boats -- A I made no more trips at all. Q In the course of these trips, for instance, on the occasion when you stopped to hunt on your way back from Moab that time, on landing your boat did you run into any silt or sand or anything of that sort? |
