A I believe they called it Lockhart; I am not very well acquainted with those points down on the river only just as far as No. 2, and I wouldn't say positive about those particular names of the places we went to. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q Did you have any trouble with river water while you were operating that boat, that is, I mean now in so far as your engine on your boat is concerned? A No sir. Q Did your engine have a radiator? A Yes sir. Q So you had clear water in it all the time? A Yes, we used the river water; of course, it is not what you call clear water. But that is the kind we used all the time. Q Wouldn't settle the river water before putting it into your radiator? A No, not necessary; dip it right out of the river and it caused a circulation from the radiator clear back into the tank. That was on account of having to run the engine so fast we needed that much more water to keep it cool. Q You had a practical and effective cooling system on |
