Q Did you take any trips on the Green river with that boat? A I did. I made several during that year. Q What month was it approximately when you made your first trip in that boat on the Green river? A It was about the middle of June when the boat was launched. Q And where did you do go on your first trip? A We went to Moab. Q Who went with you, if any one? A Captain F. C. Roff, of I own; H. B. Johnson, who I brought out from Denver to help build the boat and install the engine; A. I. Anderson, who went along with us as assistant as far as his ranch on the lower Green river. Q Did he get off at his ranch? A He did, and another gentleman who crowded into the party as a sight- seeing guest, you might call it; that is all he did. Q Aside from Mr. Anderson, was there any one in your party who, so far as you were aware, had ever made the trip before? A There was not. |
