Q Was that boat a success form a navigation standpoint, Mr. Wolverton? A No. Q What was the trouble with it? A It was too light, the frame was too light: I sacrificed much to a light draft; the vibration was too great when the engine was running. Q About what time did the copper company quit its operations there? A I think it was in 1908. Q Did you in the years 1905, 1906 and 1907 and along in that period make trips, other trips than those you have mentioned here, for compensation with the Wilmont? A Yes, both with the Wilmont and the Colorado. Q If you remember any of those trips, particularly the long trips, I wish you would just state those that you can remember quickly. A Well, I remember on trip, for instance, I made in Colorado with a party of hunters down forty miles below. With the Wilmont I made a number of trips with tourists and hunters.
