A It depend a good deal on the situation; for instance, between my ranch, the Wimmer ranch, and Greenriver, the fall of the river is 2.8 feet to the mile; the current, of course, is swift; a flood coming is soon dislodged, just a few hours. Q You mean the sand material that comes down with such a flood disappears within a few hours? A A few hours. Q At other points in the river, tell us what happens at other points where the current is not so swift. Give us your observation at those points.
