Show 7385 Wolverton- D 5365 question; very proper question. ( Thereupon the reporter read the last preceding question, as follows:) " Q. If the quarries were worked and the stone taken out, what would be the practical method of getting them out?" THE SPECIAL MASTER: You don't mean practical method of quarrying them, you mean the practical method of removing the materials that were quarried? MR. FARNSWORTH: To transport it, what would be the practical method of transporting it. MR. BLACKMAR: It is purely speculative. It is not established there is any market for any of that kind of stone. THE SPECIAL MASTER: He has not asked whether there is any market; he is simply asking the one question what is the practical method of transporting ston from that location. MR. BLACKMAR: Besides, the testimony in this case is, that the greatest amount of freight that has ever been taken out of there is this government drilling rig; I think that amounted to about three tons. THE SPECIAL MASTER: That is not the question, at all. The question, as I understand it, is simply, if rock were moved from that particular location, what is the practical method of moving it. |
