Is the season for fruits and vegetables at Moab earlier or later than at other sections in eastern Utah? A I think Moab is recognized as one of the earliest -- having one of the earliest growing seasons of any section of the state. Q Is there any section of the state, the thickly populated portion of the state, that is, Salt Lake county, or weber, Utah county, that here as early a season as Moab? MR. BLACKMAR: Does he know anything about that? MR. FARNSWORTH: I think so. A I only know by statistics and reading, and I think you will find that Moab -- MR. BLACKMAR: Just a minute. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q What sections of Utah do you know the seasons of ripening of products? A I only know Greenriver and Moab and Monticello and Blanding, San Juan county. Q How does the season for the ripening of fruits and vegetables in Moab compare with those other sections that you have mentioned? A Practically the same as Greenriver, possibly a little |
