A My father fun the ferry twenty- two years; then we moved away and in 1910 I went back and have lived there since that time, practically all the time. Q Did you ever assist your father in the operation of that ferry? A Yes sir. Q For how many years did you help him with the ferry? A Well, from the rime I was old enough, I used to go with him when I was ten years old, then when I got old enough I took the responsibility partly of running the ferry for my father's relief when he would go away at times. Q How many did you operate there at Lees Ferry? A We had a ferry boat, crossed wagons across; didn't have any cars at that time. A ferry boat approximately forty feet by fourteen or eighteen feet, then small boats for use around there. Q Row boats? A Yes sir. Q Did you ever make a trip up the river from Lees Ferry? A Yes sir.
