Show 4962 Edwards- D 2975 Q At what point did you hunt for the Riff Climber? A At a point approximately a mile and a half up stream from the J. H. Shafer well, a point known locally as the Eddy. Q Did you have anything to do with the survey of the road? A Nothing to do with the survey of the road, no sir. Q Have you been over any portion of the route which was selected for that road? A Yes sir. Q With whom? A A man who was working for us at the time, Hank Snyder. Q What portion of it? A The portion from the junction of the road to Moab, the Moab- Thompson road, and part way down Knob canyon; then at the other end of Knob canyon where it empties into the Colorado river, I have been over about practically half or three- quarters of a mile, at least until it was up from the river, up to the top of the first mesa. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Did that road go along the river bed to any extent? A After it reached the river bed down at the foot of Knob canyon, then the road planned on following down the river bank to the No. 1 location. |
