Show 4944 Cleary- C 2957 producing? A Yes. Q When? A They drilled by this particular sand, and picked up two more along that summer; then as we abandoned the well it was plugged back from the bottom to a point 30- 36 and tried to produce there; again we plugged to 20- 28, and they did produce -- the company that succeeded us in there produce fuel oil. Q I am asking about your own company. A I think in November of 1926, or December of 1926, is about the last we produced; however, I am not quite positive of that, because we took fuel oil from the well -- Q Was it producing when you relinquished work down there? A No, not in any form commercial. Q Some mention has been made for the first time in this hearing, I think, about these Elk Ridge oil wells. Are those producing oil wells now? A Far from it; no. That is a dry hole into the granite. Q Has your company made other experiments with oil production in this region? A We have drilled thirteen or four teen dry holes in the state of Utah. |
