Q And where were they, and what were they named? A Frank Shafer No. 1, J. H. Shafer No. 1, and the J. L. Shafer No. 1 A, and the Hazilwood No. 1. Q Where was that? A At the mouth of Lockhart canyon. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Can you give the mile post of the Snowden- McSweeny well? A No, I can't, except that the landing -- it was back from the river over a mile, while the other wells were right on the river bank. Q Do you know what canyon it was up? A It was a small canyon going up there, but I don't know that it has a name. THE SPECIAL MASTER: I don't recall any mention of that well before. MR. FARNSWORTH: I don't think it has been mentioned.
