Show 4903 Cleary- D 2916 built in that country seems to me -- if oil was discovered in large Quantities -- seems to me a very pertinent fact. MR. FARNSWORTH: It might be material on that. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Mr. Cleary, on your first trip down there how long did you remain? A I left there I think on the 17th of January; about seventeen days at the location. Q Between the date of your arrival on the 17th day of January, outside of making this pipe line recognizance did you do any other work down there? A We retraced the boundaries of the Frank Shafer and John L. Shafer permit, as well as located additional wells on each permit, and made the location for what we afterwards termed our No. 2 well, or the John H. Shafer permit well. Q Did you actually participate in running the lines of those permits yourself? A In practically all of it, yes. Q And after that was done, as I understand, Mr. Edwards prepared the drawings or maps, whatever you call them? A He finished up the work on those permits; there were some lines yet to run when I left. Q While you were down there on this trip did you make any other trips up to Moab? A Only in coming out. I was on the river up and down in the structure practically all that time, or at least |
