Show 4961 Edwards- D 2974 any trouble? A I am unable to say that, because we never did, on account of the additional help that the eddies at the side gave us in going up stream that we would not have had if we were in the center of the current. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q For how many yards would these eddies run up stream as a general proposition? A How many what? Q How many yards? A Just a short distance, probably maybe as large as that table. But each one would aid a little in going up stream. Q When you got to the end of an eddy did you have any difficulty in getting back into the deeper water? A No, not as a general thing. Q Did you also use the Riff Climber? A We used it occasionally when it was desirable; most of our work was done in a row boat with an out- board motor, and the boat called the black boat, owned by the Moab Garage. Q Do you know of your own knowledge what became of the Riff Climber? A I didn't see the final wreck; we hunted for it in the place it went down, the next day; that's all I know. |
