BLACKMAR: Q Mr. Cleary, how did you get from Moab to Shafer No. 1? A By the Moab Garage boat. Q Who was in charge of the boat on that day? A Virgil Baldwin. Q Who was with him? A Mr. Edwards, and a transit man by the name of Ricker. Q Just describe the trip from the wharf at Moab down to Shafer No. 1. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Which boat was it, the barge or the black boat? A The barge. We left Moab shortly after noon on December 31st, and proceeded down the river; about half way to the location we grounded on a sandbar and spent almost two hours releasing the boat.
