Show 4986 Dugan- C 2999 Q How many approximately? A Well, during those months I was down the river every week or ten days, I would say, as near as I could approximate it, sometimes oftener. Q And what percentage of the time would you take that walk from this landing up to Moab? A During these months of this early spring of 1926 and late winter, I would say two- thirds of the time, at least, probably more, that I walked up instead of riding up on the barge. Q And you took, all told, about three trips a month, did you, once every ten days, -- is that your recollection? A A trip every week to ten days. Q How long did this condition continue that caused you to walk from there up? A After this period I speak of, I wasn't on the river as regularly, except an occasional trip, until later in the season, when we started to work down to Lockhart. Q Would you say you took this walk twice a month for three months? A No, I said during those months I took it at least every week or ten days, except for a percentage of time. Q Pardon me. Didn't you say that you made the trip every week or ten days, and that two- thirds of the time only you walked? |
