Fowler, I think, and Mr. Dudley. Q Was it on the occasion of the visit of these gentlemen to Lees Ferry that you marked the tree? A Oh, no. Q You made it before that? A Prior to that, yes; it was an old mark. Q Have you told all the trips you ever made on the river above Warm creek? A I have made numerous short trips, some as far up as sixty miles, on other occasions. Q How many times have you been as far up as the mouth of the San Juan? A Only once, that is, in a boat as far as the mouth of the San Juan. Q Was that the trip you spoke of where you went up to Bull Frog? A Yes sir. |
