There is some coal shipped, goes through Moab, from Sego, that is a coal camp five miles north of Thompson in Grand county, some going in there, I noticed, recently. Then they have some little coal deposits east of Monticello. I think it is a very poor grade of coal, but there has been some operation there. Q Is that in the Lasal mountains? A No, that is east of the Blue mountain. Q Are there some coal veins in the Lasal mountains that you know of? A I don't know of any in the Lasal mountains. MR. FARNSWORTH: I think that is all. |
