Show 4996 Rosenfelt- D 3009 A Yes sir, I went with the second team. The train happened to arrive there a Saturday night. And Sunday morning I went to work to get the stuff out, and got one team, put four planks on it, and sent him out. That man had his planks on the wagon for thirty- nine days before he landed. Q Landed where? A Down at the mouth of Warm creek. Monday we got four teams and we started off with them, and it took me twenty- three days before I got there with my team. I left the other three on the road, and they got there fifteen days after me. And the next day the man landed that had the first four planks; came along sixteen days after I was on the place. Q Did those three outfits carry the whole boat? A No sir, it was all in single pieces. Q I understand. Did you carry all the single pieces on those three wagons? A No sir. Some of them teams made two or three loads. There was two big carloads. Q How far from the Colorado river on Warm creek did you set up this boat? A Right at the mouth Warm creek, on the Colorado river. Q Do you know the cost of this boat? |
