Q Just tell me, please, how you made that recognizance. A I walked over part of that line; I went into both ends of the canyon far enough to satisfy myself of the nature of the canyon and of the river; I walked over part of the line and again viewed it from a boat as I went up and down the river. On the Thompson- Moab end I drove in a car. Q How much of that proposed pipe line right- of- way did you actually see, yourself? A Practically all of it. MR. BLACKMAR: I offer that exhibit in evidence. MR. FARNSWORTH: I don't see the relevancy of it. THE SPECIAL MASTER: Possibility of the development of the country for pipe line for oil wells, I would say, was very important. MR. FARNSWORTH: That may be, with respect to the development of the wells, but no one is contending here they would haul the oil up the river if they got a producing field, that they wouldn't build a pipe line just as they build it els where.
