Show 4884 Cleary- D 2897 MR. FARSWORTH: You get a whole lot of stuff in the record here that has no place there. THE SPECIAL MASTER: What is the question? MR. BLACKMAR: The question is whether or not before that time, before he went there, if his company had receive information that this was a producing well. He can testify to that, because he was an officer of the company. MR. FARSWORTH: What does it have to do with this case? THE SPECIAL MASTER: What officer is he ? MR. BLACKMAR: He is the engineer. THE SPECIAL MASTER: Are you asking the question to prove the fact there was a producing well, or simply as the cause for his visit? MR. BLACKMAR: As the cause for his visit, and something else he did down there. THE SPECIAL MASTER: What is the objection to that, Mr. Farnsworth? MR. FARSWORTH: I don't see that the information they had received has anything to do with this case. I can not see where it is an issue, any more than income tax returns of the company. MR. BLACKMAR: It is purely a preliminary question. |
