Show AQUAMEN stroke to sixth Conference win The University of Utah's swimming team continued its domination of swimming as the Ute paddlers stroked to their sixth straight Western Athletic Conference championship. Coach Don Reddish had his suit ruined for the sixth straight time as the jubilant team cooled its coach off in the traditional pool-dunking. This year's championship win was different than those in past years as this year's win came from all-out team effort. While Utah did not have as many individual winners, the high placing of each team member gave them the victory on total points. Coach Reddish wrote personal letters to each swimmer encouraging him to give his best effort for the team and himself. The Ute Redskin aquamen posted an outstanding 13-3 season record against the country's best swimming teams. A new record was set in the 1,000-yard free style by Jim Rasmussen as he broke the record he himself set. Outstanding University swimmers were twm brothers Rich and Rob Kittle, relay team members JohnKesler, RyanSearle, David Palusak, and Bill Patton, All-American Don Gray, Dave Fuhriman, and freestyle first Steve Elsnab. ¦m P^-s; m^>>&c?"
