Show FINE ARTS shape student dancers, singers, actors to mold of great art forms Dancing en pointe through falling snow-flakes in the "Nutcracker Ballet," acting in Barefoot in the Park and War and Peace, swelling the chorus in the opera The Flying Dutchman, and bending to electronic sounds in the modern dance, University students revealed their multifaceted talents in 1968. Utes marked the year with many new innovations. A repertory Shakespeare Company augmented the theatrical offerings and student dramatic opportunities. The Shakespeare players culminated a summer's intensive workshop with performances of Twelfth Night and Macbeth in Babcock Little Theater. Other students gained dramatic experience on PMT main stage during a season beginning with Half a Sixpence and ending with Rendezvous. Ballet enthusiasts floated into the realm of fantasy during the annual fairy tale "Nutcracker," and sampled a number of original works choreographed for the company in 1968. The opera company plus the music department equalled Wagner's The Flying Dutchman. The Repertory Dance Company celebrated its second birthday with a program of ultra-modern dancing during the year.
