Show ARTISTS & SPEAKERS build stimulating program Fall quarter brought a new experience for Artists and Speakers Committee. One of the hottest new groups in the country, the Strawberry Alarm Clock, appeared at a stomp, the first ever sponsored by Artists and Speakers, and one of the most successful - 2500 stompers - of the year. On November 7 a candidate for President, Dick Gregory, appeared on campus and described the civil rights movement from the inside. PIP, Personal Involvement Perspective, focused on the draft and Viet Nam during fall quarter. Mar-riner S. Eccles, prominent Utah businessman, discussed the economic aspects of the war. The next evening David Schoenbrun, a recent visitor to Ho Chi Minh, spoke to an interested audience about the war in Viet Nam. Civic Music Series in conjunction with Artists and Speakers sponsored Eileen Farrell and Paul White in the fall. Winter quarter featured the Pozo Seco singers, Judy Collins, and a debate between Timothy Leary and Sidney Cohen. RIGHT: Andy Warhol proves himself the bomb of the year. OPP.
