Show FROSH FOOTBALL splits season two and two The freshman football team, under the guidance of Coach Ron Ney, split a four game season with two wins and two losses. The Papooses opened the season with an impressive 38-0 steamroll over Weber State as half back Charlie Evans gained more than twice the yardage of the entire Weber team and picked up the other win over a scrappy Utah State Frosh squad. The Papooses found BYU rough going and dropped two exciting but disappointing games to Cougar Frosh. Performances by halfback Charlie Evans, defensive backs Bill Jones and Gordon Jolley, and quarterback Cal Poulson highlighted 1968.
