This ftrange Figge-wort beareth divers {quarc browne ftalkes, rifing from the roote about two foote high, whereon grow witheut any order, many foft leaves like Nettles, butnot pricking or ftinging at all, fomewhat longeralfo and deeper cut in onthe edges, efpecially in fome of them, of a darke greene colour on the upperfide, andgreene underneath : the ftalkes branch themfelves into many other {mailer ones, with leaves on them to the topes, like the lowerbut lefler, where ftand many darke purple flowers; whofe upper leaves turne upwards, and the lowerfall downelike lippes, each of them ftanding in greene huskes, that are parted into five points; whereinafter the floweris fallen and paft, commeth around head, divided ‘as it were with a feame into two parts, with alittle point atthe end, wherein lye {mall brownifh feede, like the commonfort: this alfo hath a {trong fent, rather worfe than the laft. : 5.
