The faire Heath Low Pine: Hereare three forts of herbes called Cori, the one AZatthiolu firft fet forth, and made knowne; the eee Honorits Bellus of Candy; and Pena and Lobel fet ouit the lalt; which are as followeth, ° 1, Cons Matthioli, Matthioly his faire Heath Low Pine. This {pringeth uptothe height of a foote or more, with divers hard, wocddy, reddith flalkes, foll of joynts, and many fmall andlong thicke, fat leaves, fet together at every of them, fomewhatlike unto the Spergu/a, or Francke Spurty: at the toppes of the ftalkes, ftand divers flowers, eachof them upona fhortfoote ftalke, confifting of five or fixe leaves, fomewhatlike unto Hypericum, §, lobns wort : or Ornithogalum Starre of Bethelem, as Lobel compareth them, tut of awhitifh red colour, with yellow threds in the middle; yet AZatthiolwand others fay, the flowersareall yellow like Hipericum, {melling fomewhat fweete, the feede is enclofed in round heads: the rooteis fomewhatlong and wooddy, with many threddy fibres thereat : this keepeth his greene leavesall the winter, but turne fomewhat of a yellowifh red colour towards Autumneor feede time. 2.
