Our common Agrimonie, Our common Agrimonic hath divers long leaves made of many fet upon ftalke, fome greater, others {maller,all of them dented about the edges, greene above,and gtayifh undemeath, anda little hairy withall;among which arifeth up wfually buc oneftiffe, ftrong,rough or hairy browne roundftalke,2. or 35 foot high,with fmaller leaves fet here and there thereon:at the top whereof grow manyfimall yellow flowers,one above another inlong {pikes;after which come roughheadsof feeds hanging downewards,which will cleave to anything that fhallrubbeagainft them, and fticke upon garments, being touchedor caft thereon: the roote is blacke, long and fomewhat wooddy, abiding many yeares, and fhooting afrefh every {pring ; it hath areafo= nable goodfent yet very finall. ; ee 2. The Hempelike Agrimony hath many long darke, greene, foft or woolly leaves, lying upon the ground, among which rifeth up a foft whitifh ttalke, full of a white pith within ir, tothe height of two or three cubits fometimes, {et full of fachlike leaves as grow below upto the top, where the flowers breake forth, many{tanding together in tufts, being very {mall and moffie, of a pale ‘purplifh colour, which turne intodowne, andis carried away by the winde: the roote {preadeth farre, with many. ftrings and fibres thereat : the whole plant hatha litele fweete fencin it, butis very bit= ter,and fois the roote alfo, 5.
