Show She shared John K's pride in his best stud ram offerings at the livestock shows and sales rings, and felt that since they were special they merited special names. Some of those rams accumulated several to many awards in the livestock shows and others brought the highest prices at the Ram Sales. Finding and deciding on names for the stud rams became a sort of "sandwiched-^in" game, with Virginia listing names that came to mind and asking members of the family for more suggestions, and opinions on those listed. A few recalled names are: Old 467 - Superior - Utah - Outlaw -• Ginger - Governor «• Big Boy ^ Colonel » Professor •*• Cactus «?- Sharky - Domino ^ Dandy - Coolidge ^ Duke - Mischief Favorite ^ Pay Master -^ Lucky - King - Crisp - Old Joe - Century ^ Superram, CHINCILLAS One would think that with, all Virginia had to do most of the time she would have been content with just sheep. But that wasn't so. Some time around 1935, she was introduced to and became Interested in the small chinchilla animal-a native of the Andes in South America. It could have been that the cuddly creatures won her heart, or perhaps It was because they were more beautiful and romantic then the sheep she was so used to.
