Show the range men that wrinkled sheep were much harder and slower to shear. It was amazing how soon John K and Bill were able to reduce the wrinkles; and before too many generations of sheep the wrinkles were completely bred away to create a longer, loose-wooled coat on them. It was just one example of how the Madsens anticipated the trends and needs of their market- always at least two years ahead in planning, and sometimes more, on most phases of their ranch and livestock breeding, RATIONALIZING The editors of the magazine were always aisle to analyze and rationalize the conditions and situations that were of concern to the breeders, for they did so more knowledgably, and-with objectivity.
