A periodical by the name of American Rambouillet Sheep Breeders Magazine was published by the Association. It was helpful in keeping contact with Rambouillet breeders and informing them on vital matters pertaining to the Rambouillets. The National Wool Growers Association in which he obtained membership 5 August 1911, also published a magazine. Through its pages much current information was channeled monthly to both sheep breeders and range sheepmen of all breeds. John K felt that he gained immensely from the direction he received in the publications of the important sheepmens' organizations. His membership certificate of the National Wood Growers Association bears the signature of S. W. McClure, Secretary, and R. R. Gooding, President. Later on, he liked receiving the Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers Magazine and the Denver Daily Record Stockman. Each served a specific purpose in keeping him abreast of developments within the sheep world of the United States.
