| Abstract |
This collection contains bound volumes of minutes of the Board of Regents meetings, including accompanying materials, such as contracts, correspondence, meeting minutes of subordinate committees, and faculty newsletters. The Board of Regents historically served as the governing body of the University of Utah. In 1969 the name was changed to the Institutional Council (the State Board of Higher Education later adopted the name of State Board of Regents). In 1991 the Institutional Council became the current Board of Trustees. |

Show to be still due to Dr. Widtsoe. Regent Christensen presented the following motion: $1,000 That the amount of $5,000 be appropriated to Dr. Widtsoe lntertain- pent Fund "aid to ;r.Widtsoe. as due him for past services. The motion carried. Chairman Riter asked whether the Board desired that . the One Thousand Dollars appropriated last year for Dr. E, Widtsoe's expenses of entertainment during the year 1920-21 should be paid in one sum, or whether the Board required itemized vouchers for the expenditures under that appropriation. On motion of Regent Alexander, it was decided that the $1,000 be paid in bulk to Dr. Widtsoe. On motion of Regent Christensen the salary of Dr. Thomas was fixed at $7,000 per annum. Regent Van Cott moved that Dr. Thomas be informed that he will be allowed, on vouchers properly presented, sums for entertainment and for necessary automobile hire. At this point Dr. Thomas was introduced and stated that he desired to be present as a listener. Dr. Widtsoe presented the following general budget pagets resented § Carried. showing the estimated income and disbursements. (See next page) After the reading of the Estimated Income and the Proposed Division of Funds for Instruction and Maintenance, budget Regent Bamberger made the following motion: That the disbursement as read by Dr. Widtsoe, showing an approximate it shall of $500,000 be approved, with the understanding that $19,000. show an approximate unappropriated balance of Passed. The Salary Budget was then presented by Dr. Widtsoe. |
