Show '.....Re: -Insurance and Under the Laws and REgulations of the University of Utah, Chapter 3, Section 4, page 5, the Secretary is held reSponsi- Property being ble for all financial records, documents, contracts, books taken over by and papers of the University; therefore it has seemed to me State Dept. proper not to comply with this request until the Board ,of Fin. and Purchase releases me from the reSponsibility under their regulations. If the Regents feel that the insurance can be better handled from the Capitol, I see no reason why any one should object. If, on the other hand, they feel that our office should continue to take care of those matters, I shall be pleased to inform the Department of Finance and Purchase of their decision. Moved by Regent Evans that the matter be referred to the Attorney General and that he be asked to render an opinion as to what action the University should take in relation to the letters as to whether the University, as a corporation should hand over its documents, such as insurance policies, and its property such as automobiles.
