| Abstract |
This collection contains bound volumes of minutes of the Board of Regents meetings, including accompanying materials, such as contracts, correspondence, meeting minutes of subordinate committees, and faculty newsletters. The Board of Regents historically served as the governing body of the University of Utah. In 1969 the name was changed to the Institutional Council (the State Board of Higher Education later adopted the name of State Board of Regents). In 1991 the Institutional Council became the current Board of Trustees. |

Z§;%vf235714x-a~1' Secretary. SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF REGENTS, APRIL 18. 1921. Held in the Regents' Room, University of Utah. Present: Chairman Riter; Regents Bamberger, Love, Christensen, Alexander, Stewart, Crockett, Anderson, Wattis, and President Widtsoe. Moved by Regent Bamberger that, in order that the action %nferring of the board of Regents taken at the previous meeting, wherein bi Honorary the Board decided to confer upon President Widtsoe an honorary iegree [pan :Ir.Widtsoe . degree, may be in keeping with the rules of the Board of Regents governing the granting of honorary degrees, that the Secretary communicate with each member of the Board and obtain from each member his approval or disapproval of the proposal. Passed. votes cessary to Eat a Moved by Regent Bamberger that it be the sense of the Board that eight votes will be necessary to elect a president for the W'presi_ at. University. Passed.
