Show '"•*»*, Mr* John McComb December 20, 1973 project review could well change specific plans for specific parts of the project, to wit, Currant Creek Dam (e.g*» its sise$ location, function, or even need at all)* In view of this ne®&$ I hope that you can review the Central Utah Project as known to you9 and particularly as reflected in the environmental impact statement, with close attention paid to that part which discusses achieving project purposes with various combinations or lack of combinations of various components of the project, with an eye towards giving us the testimony mentioned above. It could well occur that I would need your affidavit durinp *-'-.- weekend of January 5 and 6, 1974, in Salt Lake, and? further t~ would need you as a witness for preliminary injunction proceeding in the third or fourth week of January. As I know you realise^ it is difficult to tell for a certainty whether or not an expert witnesses testimony will ultimately be needed* However, the probability here is so great that I would very much like your assistance as outlined if your other responsibilities will allow it* Sincerely, H« Anthony Ruckel Denver Office HAR/sk ccs Curtis Oberhansley David Raskin P.S, My itenerary for the next ten days or so is shown on r ?*< sz attached letter to Jim Moorman* Call me if you need to talk with me regarding the above.
