Show 4995 Rosenfelt- D 3008 A I finished at the end of August. Q After you got it finished, how did you move that boat to the Colorado river? A It was taken down and put on the railroad, two forty- foot automobile cars; it was shipped. And on the 7th of September I was asked to go after her and put her up. So I started that evening, and I was gone two days short of six months before I got back to San Francisco. Q Where did you meet up with the boat after it had been shipped? A I started from San Francisco on the night of the 7th of September, and fifty of fifty- one hours after that I landed in Marysvale with the train. Q Utah? A Yes sir; and the material wasn't there yet. I laid there five or six days before it arrived, and there was a man there had charge of the Lees Ferry plant at the station close to the hotel and gave us instructions to stay there until the stuff arrived, then take everything out, what we needed first, hire as many teams as we could get and put it on, and start out with it down to the mouth of Warm creek. Q Did you accompany the teams to Warm creek? A Sir? Q Did you go with the teams to Warm creek? |
