Show 4813 Kirkpatrick- 2827 The survey of the land along the Colorado river in, in practically all case, on the application of the state of Utah. I believe the state of Utah applied for the survey of about fifty townships along the Colorado river. Q You don't happen to recall just what statute that is, do you, in reference to oil? A No; it is in our regular appropriation Act, making appropriation for the survey of public land. I think it is in the current appropriation, and I think the previous one contains a provision. MR. FARNSWORTH: Mr. Hoyt, you are very familiar with the exhibits; it would only take you a moment to indicate in blue pencil or by some specific mark the limits of the meanderings of these streams on one of out exhibits -- THE SPECIAL MASTER: You don't want this taken down, do you? MR. FARNSWORTH: I think it might be properly in the record. Probably it might be wall to put it on this exhibit. MR. HOYT: I doubt if I could put those on this. MR. FARNSWORTH: Then on the other exhibit. MR. HOYT: No, 1. I think, the state map. MR. FARNSWORTH: The exhibit that is a map of the state. If you will do that. Will you? There is no objection to that, I take it? |
